Arsenal agree fee with Greek giants for 22-year-old striker

Arsenal have agreed to sell striker Chuba Akpom to Greek side PAOK.

The 22-year-old striker has been with the Gunners since aged six, however will now leave his boyhood club permanently after making only 12 first team appearances.

Goal report Akpom will complete a £2 million move to PAOK in the coming days, with the striker set to travel to Thessaloniki today to finalise his move.

Akpom has spent six seasons out on-loan while at The Emirates with Brentford, Coventry City, Nottingham Forest, Hull City, Brighton and most recently Belgium side Sint-Truiden, where he managed six goals in 16 appearances last term.

PAOK won the Greek Cup last season for the second successive year, and finished second in the Greek Superleague, meaning they qualified for second qualifying round of the Champions League.

The Greek side beat FC Basel 2-1 in the first leg last week, and will qualify for the third qualifying round if they can avoid defeat in the second leg at the St. Jakob-Park on Wednesday.
