Arsenal Ace ‘Wants To Leave’ For A ‘New Challenge’ As Chelsea Step Up Interest

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has made a firm decision that he “wants to leave” the Emirates, according to the Bleacher Report.

Reporter Dean Jones claims that the 30-year-old was undecided about his future but he is now keen on a departure as he looks for a “new challenge.”

A move abroad looked the likeliest scenario with both Inter Milan and Barcelona said to be keen on the Aubameyang but Bleacher Report say that Chelsea are firmly in the frame for the striker.

Manager Frank Lampard is looking for an experienced striker, and the Blues have been heavily linked with a free transfer move for Napoli’s Dries Mertens.

However, it appears they are also weighing up whether a move for Aubameyang is realistic. Arsenal are unlikely to want their talisman to move to a direct rival but with the player’s contract expiring at the end of next season, they will have a tough decision to make.
