Arsenal striker Vivianne Miedema salvaged a point for the Gunners as they drew 1-1 with Juventus in the Women’s Champions League on Thursday evening.
Despite manager Jonas Eidevall being without several key players in Turin, they actually got off to a pretty strong start. However, they were caught on the counter-attack just after the interval, with Lineth Beerensteyn putting the home side in the lead.
Juve weren’t ahead for long, though, with Miedema bagging her fourth goal of the season just after the hour mark, heading in from a corner.
Arsenal pressed to get a winner but they weren’t able to find a breakthrough. The point does mean that they have still not lost in Europe this season, maintaining a two-point gap at the top of their group.
Eidevall’s side take on Everton at home in the WSL on Saturday and they will be keen to get back to winning ways following the 3-2 defeat to Manchester United last weekend.
