Arsenal are considering a loan bid for Bayern Munich playmaker James Rodriguez, according to reports in the English media.
Any offer for the Colombian international is said to rely on Mesut Ozil leaving the club, freeing up funds for the midfielder’s £3m loan fee and wages.
Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has hinted Rodriguez will be staying at the Bundesliga club until the end of the season, but fans on Twitter have been debating the merits of the move. Some believe it is a good idea:

In any case, a deal for Rodriguez will be complicated to pull off even if the Gunners can find a club for Ozil. Bayern have a £37m purchase option in their two-year loan deal with Real Madrid.
Therefore, it will be up to the German club to terminate their agreement and for Real to accept Arsenal’s offer.
