REPORT: Ancelotti Could Hijack Arsenal’s Move For 50M Rated England International

Real Madrid are interested in Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin and could challenge Arsenal for the 24-year-old, according to Calciomercato.com.

Real’s manager, Carlo Ancelotti, is a big fan of the England international after working with him during his time with the Toffees and it seems he could look to bring him over to Spain.

Arsenal have been linked with Calvert-Lewin on and off over the past year, with the latest transfer story mentioning the Gunners and the player emerging at the start of this month.

Both the Everton forward and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins are reportedly being considered as potential replacements for Alexandre Lacazette, who is expected to leave the Emirates when his contract expires.

However, Calvert-Lewin’s asking price could prove problematic. He is believed to be valued at around £50m, and that figure may put off Arsenal from making a bid. The amount may not deter Real but there is no guarantee that they will firm up their interest in the player if they do secure the services of PSG’s Kylian Mbappe instead next summer.
