Alexis Sanchez ‘Guaranteed’ To Leave

Arsenal have been dealt a huge blow as they prepare for the upcoming 17/18 season. Their star man Alexis Sanchez has been rumoured to leave all summer, with the 28-year-old refusing to sign a new deal at the Emirates. After returning to training this week, it looked as if the saga was all over and the Chilean would perhaps sign a new deal – but as TalkSPORT’s Andy Goldstein is not so convinced.

Sanchez has been linked with moves to Juventus, Manchester City and Bayern Munich, with City the most likely destination. But according to Goldstein, Monaco have their eye on the forward too, and are willing to table a £45m bid in order to sign him.

Arsene Wenger has already publicly insisted that Sanchez is going nowhere, and that the club will not be held to ransom. However, Goldstein believes that is is almost guaranteed that the Gunners’ prised asset will leave the club this summer.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Goldstein said: “It looks like Monaco will today make a bid of around £45milion for Alexis Sanchez.”

“It looks like he will go, Sanchez. It might be Monaco, it might be Manchester City, but he’s going to go.”

“You know that, I know that and Arsene Wenger knows that as well.”

“I think it’s a guarantee.”

Despite Goldstein’s comments, Wenger seems adamant that Sanchez will stay.

“The only thing I can tell you is he is focused,” said Wenger.

“My decision is clear – he will stay and he will respect that.”

Wenger has now vowed not to speak about Sanchez’s future and said: “It is not information anymore, it is suicide.”

“He will be here for this season and if we manage to do it for more seasons, we will do it as well.”
