Agents Try To Secure Serbian Star’s Exit For Just 31M As Arsenal ‘Ready’ Summer Bid

The representatives of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic are trying to persuade Lazio to sell the midfielder for between €35m (£31m) and €40m (£35m), according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport.

With the Serbian unlikely to sign a new contract, he will have just twelve months left on his current deal this summer, and his departure from the Stadio Olimpico is looking increasingly likely.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito wants to hold out for a fee in the region of €50m (£44m) but Milinkovic Savic’s agents fear that could put off suitors such as Arsenal and Juventus who Gazzetta report are  “ready” to make their move for the player.

The 28-year-old has been in good form this season, having scored six goals and contributed eight assists in 34 appearances, so the Gunners clearly feel he could add something to the squad.

If Lazio do make Milinkovic-Savic available for as low as £31m, though, you can bet that plenty of other teams will enter the battle to sign the playmaker.
