Agent Reveals Whether His Arsenal Connections Will Influence £80m Rated Brazilian’s Next Move

The agent of Philippe Coutinho has said the fact that he supports Arsenal will not have a bearing on whether the Brazilian international moves to the Emirates in the summer.

Kia Joorabchian was asked whether he has any influence on the 27-year-old and his other clients on which clubs they join, and he replied:

“The fact I’m an Arsenal supporter is not a secret. I don’t have any preference where the players go. I don’t try to push someone to one club or another. Everything is a possibility.”

“The question is what are going to be the financial conditions of all the clubs, including Barcelona and all the Premier League clubs at the end of this pandemic.”

Joorabchian is not only a Gunners supporter but he also has close connections with the club’s technical director Edu, who he is reportedly friends with.

Coutinho has been linked with Arsenal, along with Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham, but Barcelona are reportedly holding out for at least £80m.

Such a price tag would likely put off Mikel Arteta’s side, unless a loan deal can be arranged for the former Liverpool player to make the switch to London.

However, Barca are reportedly keen to offload Coutinho on a permanent basis after loaning him out to Bayern Munich this season.
