Agent Reveals Whether Arsenal Target Could Leave His Current Club In January

The agent of Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria has said that the Swiss international will not be looking to leave the Bundesliga club in the January transfer window.

It was reported yesterday that Arsenal were interested in making a move for the 22-year-old, with the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham also believed to be keen on the player. However, Mathieu Beda has made it clear that the Swiss star won’t be moving in the New Year:

“Denis will not leave Borussia in the winter, a change is 100 per cent excluded. Denis is in very good shape in Gladbach and has been playing really well for weeks, but he still has more potential and he wants to show that in Gladbach now instead of dealing with a change.”

Whether that stance will change in the summer, we shall have to wait and see. Zakaria is part of a Gladbach side which is currently top of the table in Germany, with a four-point lead over second after eleven games.

If they do go on to win the title ahead of the likes of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, the midfielder will certainly not be short of suitors at the end of the season.
