AC Milan Star Responds To Transfer Claims Amid Interest From Arsenal And Chelsea

AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie has declared that he is happy to remain at the San Siro and help the Rossoneri clinch a Champions League place.

Reports in recent days have suggested that Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are all keen on signing the Ivorian international but speaking yesterday to the Italian media, he said:

“I have five years of contract and I’m happy here. There is a great coach who is doing things right. The players are all with one person. I feel good and I want to continue in the dream of returning to the Champions League.”

Milan are currently in the fourth and final Champions League place in the Serie A table. However, they face stiff competition.

There are three teams (Atalanta, Roma and Lazio) below them in the league who are just one point behind. The race to seal a spot in Europe’s premier competition looks likely to go down to the wire.

Kessie is currently on loan at the Rossoneri from Atalanta, but his move will be made permanent for €24m in the summer.

This campaign, the 22-year-old has made 27 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
