AC Milan want to take Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey to the San Siro in January, according to reports.

Ramsey’s contract with the Gunners expires in less than a year, and the Welshman has thus far failed to put pen to paper on a new deal, meaning he could leave the club for free next summer.

Barcelona, Lazio and Chelsea are amongst the parties reportedly interested in the 27-year-old, however they will now face competition from Milan, who want the midfielder to follow Ivan Gazidis to Serie A.

Gazidis is close to be being appointed as Milan’s new chief executive having agreed a salary with I Rossoneri, and according to Sport Mediaset, Gazidis could now play a key role in helping AC Milan land Ramsey.

The Italian’s want Ramsey to help bolster their midfield as they look to mount a challenge for the Scudetto, and may submit an offer as soon as January.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery however has insisted he wants Ramsey to remain in North London, with the Wales international remaining a key part of his plans for the coming years.
