Rai Sport journalist Ciro Venerato has claimed that Napoli are interested in signing Arsenal forwards Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
With Dries Mertens looking increasingly likely to leave the Serie A side, along with fellow striker Arkadiusz Milik, manager Gennaro Gattuso is said to be keen to reinforce the team’s frontline.
Venerato says that while Lazio’s Ciro Immobile is Napoli’s priority, the club are also considering bids for the Gunners pair:
“After Immobile, the list includes two other big names, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang; one of the two will leave Arsenal.”
Supporters on Twitter are very sceptical about the report:
Absolute nonsense.

Although it is possible that one of the two strikers will leave the Emirates this summer, the likelihood of them wanting to join Napoli is very low.
The Italian club have struggled this season and they are currently nine points off the Champions League places in sixth place. If either Aubameyang and Lacazette were to move teams, it would be to a club that will be playing Champions League football next campaign.
