Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira will miss the next three league games after the club’s appeal against his red card in the North London derby was rejected by the FA.
The Uruguayan was sent off by referee Anthony Taylor after a tackle on Danny Rose during stoppage time.
Fans on Twitter were aggrieved by the decision with many feeling that the FA are biased against the club:
Absolute disgrace!!! Meanwhile Rose & Sanchez go about their daily business. Sure there’s no agenda ? smfh ?

Even though he got the ball, Danny rose clattered Leno and gets a yellow

Ridiculous! The FA is a bad joke

Maybe they should try and do something about the fact Rose and Sanchez kicked/stomped on some Leno and Koscielny

Torreira did win the ball first, but he also caught Rose high on the leg, which under the law is classed as endangering the opponent.
The FA will only ever overturn a referee’s decision on the field if it is a clear and obvious error, and they didn’t deem Taylor made such a mistake.
There were, though, other issues that the Gunners were rightly aggrieved about in terms of decisions made by officials during the derby.
Harry Kane was clearly offside before Spurs were given a penalty. The linesman didn’t manage to spot it despite the delivery coming from a dead ball situation.
