Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Aaron Ramsdale – after playing in the Carabao Cup this season, it’s expected that the 25-year-old will be recalled for the Liverpool clash this weekend.
RB – Ben White – there have been reports that the defender is carrying a knee injury. Cedric Soares could come in if Arteta wants to rest the fullback but Arteta will want his strongest defence for this match.
CB – William Saliba – you can’t see the Frenchman being rested. If the Gunners were playing lower-league opposition, it would be different but they are not.
CB – Gabriel – with Jakub Kiwior needed at left-back, the Brazilian is set to continue his strong partnership with Saliba.
LB – Jakub Kiwior – Takehiro Tomiyasu is now away at the Asian Cup, while Oleksandr Zinchenko is struggling with a calf injury so the Polish international is really the only other option, despite being hauled off at half-time last time out against the Cottagers.
