Arsenal fans are not happy about the ongoing transfer saga surrounding star forward Alexis Sanchez.
The Chile international was left out of Arsene Wenger’s matchday squad at the weekend in what was a dismal 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth, leading to further speculation that the former Barcelona star is on his way out the The Emirates before the end of the month.
Sanchez, who joined Arsenal in 2014, has been heavily linked with a move to a number of Premier League clubs, including both Manchester City and Manchester United, both of whom are keen on taking the unhappy star away from North London.
City failed to land Sanchez on deadline day during the summer, with their £60 million bid for the 29-year-old being turned down as Arsenal were unable to land Monaco’s Thomas Lemar as a last minute replacement.
Pep Guardiola however is still extremely keen on the Chilean, and it is widely expected he will move again for Sanchez is the coming weeks – especially with striker Gabriel Jesus having suffered a long term injury at the start of the month.
However, City’s neighbours Manchester United have now emerged as shock contenders for Sanchez, with Jose Mourinho too a huge admirer for the Arsenal star.
With City reluctant to pay Arsenal’s asking price, United have made their stance clear they will match both the Gunners demands as well as Sanchez’s wage demands – which could see him become one of the Red Devil’s best paid players if he does make the move to Old Trafford.
Liverpool and Chelsea are also interested, as too are Serie A giants Juventus.
With his future still up in the air at the end of the transfer window fast approaching, Gunners fans are not impressed at the ongoing saga …
Can Arsenal fans please stop moaning that we're selling Sanchez to a rival?
We're not – we're selling him to a Top4 club in the Champions League.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) January 15, 2018

Arsenal's handling of Alexis Sánchez and Mesut Özil a disaster. How can you go into a season with your two best players out of contract the next summer?
Should have sold them last summer or got them to sign extensions with understanding they could leave for a big fee in 2018…

A brief word from me on Alexis Sanchez. I still expect Manchester City to make a renewed effort, whether this happens or not remains to be seen, meeting today between Guardiola and club hierarchy will likely provide an answer. With regards to Arsenal, the process of replacing…

Martial is not going to Arsenal in exchange for Sanchez. Don't be dumb.

I won’t boo Alexis. As Arseblog says “From Fabregas to van Persie, and now Sanchez, these players want to leave us. Not because they don’t like the club, not because it isn’t a nice life at Arsenal, but because their ambitions as players cannot be realised.”
