Arsenal are interested in signing Ajax right-back Devyne Rensch, according to Footmercato.net.
The French website claims that the Gunners are “following the player closely”, while Brighton and Sevilla are also keen on snapping up the 20-year-old.
A few weeks ago, reports in the Dutch media had named Mikel Arteta’s side as a potential suitor, along with Liverpool, but Ajax are said to be determined to keep hold of the defender.
It is believed that the Eredivisie side will offer the Netherlands international a new contract in order to ward off interest, although there has been no confirmation that a formal proposal has been made to Rensch at this stage.
Arsenal will be aiming to strengthen the right-hand side of defence this summer. Takehiro Tomiyasu has, once again, suffered with injuries this season and Ben White needs to have someone who can provide competition for his place in the starting eleven.
