Arsenal right-back Ben White was one of the best players on the pitch as the Gunners won 4-1 against Crystal Palace at the weekend.
As well as providing the assist for Bukayo Saka‘s first goal, the 25-year-old made three interceptions and recovered the ball six times, as he put in an outstanding all-round performance before being substituted with seven minutes to go.
Supporters on Twitter were keen to highlight White’s contribution, especially after he was snubbed for international duty by England manager Gareth Southgate last week:

Nearly every player excelled themselves against Palace on Sunday, but White was a genuine candidate for man of the match.
The defender may have felt he had something to prove after missing out on an England call-up but, whatever the case may be, his display was integral to helping Arsenal increase their lead at the top of the Premier League table to eight points. He will be hoping to maintain his current level when the Gunners play their next match versus Leeds on Saturday week.
