Arsenal, Newcastle and Tottenham have all made enquiries about Ajax forward Mohammed Kudus, according to reports in the English media.

The 22-year-old has impressed playing for Ghana at the World Cup and the Gunners have decided to make their interest known following his displays in Qatar.

Kudus has also been scouted by Liverpool but Everton were the team who came closest to securing his signature back in the summer transfer window.

At the time, it was believed that Ajax were demanding £15m but that valuation has now doubled to £30m after his performances for both the Eredivisie club and his national team.

Kudus actually joined Ajax from Danish club FC Nordsjaelland two and a half years ago but injuries have meant that he has never been given a long enough run in the first team.

Following Erik ten Hag’s departure for Manchester United in the summer, the Ghanaian has found more minutes at club level, with manager Alfred Schreuder deploying him as both a striker and attacking midfielder.
