Brighton have rejected a £30m bid from an unnamed club for Yves Bissouma, according to RTL reporter Fabrice Hawkins.
The French journalist says that Arsenal, Aston Villa and Newcastle are the three teams interested in the 25-year-old but the Seagulls will only accept an “exceptional offer” for the player this month:
Yves #Bissouma, actuellement à la CAN, fait l’objet de plusieurs offres. Brighton a repoussé une proposition de 30 millions de livres sterling. Le Malien ne bougera pas cet hiver sauf offre exceptionnelle. Aston Villa, Newcastle et Arsenal sont intéressés.#mercato

With the Gunners looking to sign a midfielder, it would not be a surprise if the London club were the ones who made the approach for Bissouma.
However, the bid is thought to be well below Brighton’s asking price. Respected sources close to the south coast club claim that they will only sell up for around £50m during the January transfer window.
Considering Bissouma has less than eighteen months remaining on his contract at the Amex Stadium, that seems quite steep. It’s likely most teams (including other potential suitors like Manchester United and Liverpool) will wait until the summer to make their move with his valuation expected to drop significantly.
