Arsenal are “awaiting the final decision” from Real Madrid over Dani Ceballos’s future, according to Marca.

Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta has already publicly stated that he wants the 23-year-old back at the Emirates next season but the last say on the matter will come from Zinedine Zidane.

Marca claim that the Real Madrid boss will sit down with Dani Ceballos in the coming weeks, and there could be a shift in stance from either side following the meeting.

At the moment, it is believed that Zidane is not keen on keeping the midfielder at the Bernabeu and if that is still the case, Ceballos would be open to staying in England.

It is also not yet clear whether Arsenal are intending to sign him on a permanent basis or if they intend to extend his loan into a second year.

Previous reports have claimed that Real would be looking to sell up in order to raise funds, although it is unlikely that the Gunners would have the finances to match their demands.
