Arsenal have announced that Alexandre Lacazette’s goal against Tottenham was the club’s goal of the month for September. The Frenchman went off early in the second half in the game and has not played for the Gunners since due to an ankle injury.
The striker is expected to return to action some time after the international break and fans on Twitter can’t wait for the 28-year-old to make his comeback for the first team:
We miss him

Despite Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang being in red hot form, there’s no doubt that Arsenal have been missing Lacazette’s firepower in front of goal. Nicolas Pepe has yet to hit his straps, and while Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have stepped up ably in the French forward’s absence, supporters will be excited to see their no.9 back in the starting line up.
Whether he’ll feature in the Gunners’ squad for their next league game against Sheffield United on Monday week, we shall have to wait and see.
