Arsenal defender heaps praise on Emery

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has praised the start to life manager Unai Emery has made at the club, saying that so many things have changed at the training ground.

Emery has the task of putting Arsenal back into the bracket of serious title winning contenders, after so long out of the picture. Coming in to replace Arsene Wenger after 22 years as the manager is by no means an easy task, but the signings he has made combined with the feel good factor that surrounds the Emirates has helped to give Emery a great start to the club’s new chapter.

And Bellerin, who has recently been quoted committing his future to the Gunners having been linked with a move away this summer, says that he is excited by the new direction Emery is taking the club.

“As I said the other day, it’s all about learning the new system, about getting used to each other again and used to the new players,” Bellerin told Arsenal Player.

“It felt like things were clicking more today. Slowly we are coming more together – training every day with the new concepts we have is working better.

“So many things have changed at the training ground.

“Starting from the coaching, from the schedule, everything. Every coach has their own way of doing things and for us it’s changed a lot.

“He is a coach that wants us to press, to run around a lot during the games so obviously if we want to be ready to do that in the league we have do it in training – and that’s one of the things that has impacted most on the players.”
