Arsenal are “very close” to an agreement with Le Harve for midfielder Pape Gueye, according to Jeunes Footeux. The French website claims the Gunners could sign the 21-year-old for €6m (£5m) at the end of the season.
It was reported in the Spanish press earlier this week that the likes of Sevilla, AC Milan, Valencia and Udinese were all interested in signing the Frenchman, but it appears Arsenal are the frontrunners to sign him. Supporters on Twitter are hoping the club’s scouting network have found another gem:

Another Guendouzi but I see him as a typical backup for Xhaka

The Gunners certainly did well to pluck Matteo Guendouzi from obscurity when they paid Lorient £7m for the youngster 18 months ago, but it remains to be seen if Gueye would have a similar impact if he were to arrive in England.
The holding midfielder has been likened to a cross between Paul Pogba and N’Golo Kante, although it must be said that any comparisons must not be taken at face value, with the player plying his trade in Ligue Two.
