Arsenal have reportedly set their sights on signing Athletic Bilbao defender Unai Nunez with reports in Spain suggesting that Mikel Arteta is keen on snapping up the centre-half.

The 23-year-old is believed to have a release clause in his contract which allows him to leave for just £26m. Considering his age and talent, the Gunners may see it as a great deal.

Nunez is said to be stalling over a contract extension, as well, so this could be the best opportunity to secure the Spaniard’s signature.
