It was a rather poor display from Arsenal against Brighton on Saturday and one of the few positives from the match is that they would have lost that game in previous seasons.

Even so, there is a lot for manager Mikel Arteta to ponder over the international break. After a dreadful start to the campaign, the Gunners have recovered well but improvements are needed.

To be fair, Brighton are a decent team but if you are going to finish near the top of the table, these are the types of fixtures that you need to win.
