Lille centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes will make a decision on whether to join Arsenal this weekend, according to ESPN’s Tom Hamilton.
Reports in France in recent days have suggested that the Gunners are leading the likes of Manchester United, Napoli and Everton in the race to sign the 22-year-old, and it appears as though a move to the Emirates could well be on the cards.
Gabriel is said to be very interested in joining the London club, although it is believed United could yet make a late attempt to hijack the transfer.
If everything goes to plan, though, it is felt that the Brazilian could well be an Arsenal player very soon. Lille’s asking price for the defender is €30m (£27m), but after having good relations with the Ligue One side following the signing of Nicolas Pepe, it’s likely that the two sides will come to an arrangement over paying the fee in instalments.
