‘100% Take Him’ ‘This Would Be A Very Good Signing’ Fans Hoping Arsenal Push Ahead With Move For Portuguese Star

Arsenal remain interested in signing Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves, according to reports in the English media.

The Portuguese international was considered as a potential replacement for Granit Xhaka last summer, when the Swiss international looked set for a move to Roma.

While Xhaka ended up staying at the Emirates, the interest in Neves has still not gone away. Now, with the Gunners lacking numbers in midfield, a deal could be revived and fans on Twitter would be very much behind the signing:

One of the big stumbling blocks is likely to be the asking price. Wolves were reportedly only asking for £35m last summer but that could have increased significantly due to his form in recent months. With interest also coming from other clubs, including Manchester United, a deal to sign the 24-year-old this month would not be straightforward.

Other options are also reportedly being considered but if the Gunners can seal a move for Neves, it would greatly strengthen them in the middle of the park.
