Would Arsenal Benefit Off Of Signing These 23-Year-Old Players?

Wenger looks really confident that he can win the Premier League this season especially with Chelsea and Liverpool out of the equation. Arsenal’s amazing display of skill and force against Manchester United is one of the main reason many now consider the Gunners true contenders for the title. The truth is though that it has been like this for the past couple of years. The problem is that things start to go downhill around February or March when the team ends up dialing it down due to fatigue but mostly due to injuries sadly. In order to avoid such situations during the second part of the season, Wenger needs to sign new talent.

According to ESPN he is already targeting two players who have grown playing in the UK. One was even part of Arsenal’s academy. Besiktas’ Oguzhan Ozyakup has spent 3 years at Emirates where he performed for the U18 and U21 team before leaving for his home country. He has developed into an excellent midfielder who could step in for Wilshere, Ozil, Coquelin or Ramsey. The other player who made Wenger’s list is Gokhan Tore. He is also 23 and has spent 2 years playing for Chelsea’s U21 team before leaving for Hamburg. Mainly used as a winger, the Turkish international has had a great season and looks like a great fit for the left wing. Both players are members of Turkey’s international squad and have made great progress especially during the last months. They shouldn’t cost the club more than £15million which is not that much if they keep up their current form.
