Wilshere To Get Big Pay Increase To Stay At The Emirates

Arsenal are expected to provide Wilshere with a new contract which should keep the midfielder at the Emirates until 2020. The 22 year old who feels like he has been playing for Arsenal for a lifetime, already has an agreement which expires in 2018. The youngster started playing for Arsenal in 2008 and has become an important member of the team since then. The offer for the one who most say, will be the next captain, is expected to be provided to Wilshere this January. Even with 3 ½ years left of his current deal, it is clear that his future will be closely tied to the Gunners. In order to convince the player that leaving should not be an option, the club is willing to offer an impressive salary for their midfielder.

According to the Mirror, Wilshere is expected to earn £150,000 which will make him one of the highest paid football players of his generation. Even though the youngster has had a fluctuating form this season, Wenger is determined to keep him around for the next 6 years. It is very likely that even with Sanchez behaving like a leader, Wilshere will be the one to take captaincy from Arteta. Hopefully the 22 year old will grow up and manage to reach his full potential which many think is limitless.
