Wenger To Receive Good News From France

If Wenger plays his cards right he might end up signing 21 year old Algerian born French international Nabil Fekir. The youngster who has proven his qualities during the past year, is seriously considering leaving Lyon in June despite the fact that he is under contract until 2019. The versatile midfielder who finished this season with 15 goals and 13 assists in 38 games, is looking for a new challenge after losing the Liegue 1 title to PSG. Considered as one of the best players in France, Fekir has a special relationship with Arsenal which could definitely lead to a move. According to the Daily Express, the player’s father who is also his agent, revealed to the press that the Gunners are the only group for which his son would consider leaving Lyon. Even though in the meanwhile Fekir also expressed his fondness for Barcelona, there is still a very big chance Wenger will convince him to come to London.

Currently Fekir is valued at about £8m which is a bargain if his future will be as bright as expected. The only problem with the Frenchman is that he is not willing to part ways with Lyon immediately unless he is guaranteed to play in the Champions League. The French side is the team which can promise him that right now as Arsenal already have a strong lot which is not easily accessible especially when it comes to major competitions. It is to be seen if Wenger decides to make an investment for the future and buy Fekir even though he will only agree to play for Arsenal in the 2016-2017 season.
