Wenger Set For Massive Summer Shopping After Signing New Deal!

The longest serving manager in the Premier League, Arsene Wenger, is playing cat-and-mouse with the board as he stalls on signing the new contract offered to him despite confirming he will stay with the club beyond the end of his current deal which expires this summer.

However, , according to the Mirror it is a question of ‘when’ and not ‘if’ Wenger will sign the new deal. The Frenchman has already planned for the start of next season, which proves he is committed to stay at the Emirates.

In what will be music to the ears of Arsenal fans, Wenger is prepared to spend heavily in the summer as he looks to strengthen certain areas with the addition of a new striker, new goalkeeper, defensive enforcer and also a new right-back.

Arsenal’s title challenge has yet again fizzled out with the club fighting to claim a top-four spot and also a FA Cup trophy at the end of the season. With injuries to key men possible for their decline, reinforcements in January could have gone a long way in changing the dynamics of the title race.

Although Wenger failed to spend big in January to land his targets, he is prepared to spend a massive £70 million that will be available for him in the summer.
