Wenger Refuses To Rule Out Lacazette Move

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has refused to rule out a move for Alexandre Lacazette this summer after speculation about the strikers future continues to rumble on. The Lyon striker has attracted a lot of attention from clubs around Europe, including West Ham, Spurs, Liverpool, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund.

However, the Frenchman also finds himself linked with Arsenal – a club who are known to be in for a striker this summer. The Gunners have already failed to sign Leicester’s Jamie Vardy and now the north London side are set to turn their attention to Lacazette.

Lyon have valued the striker at a whopping £40m after the striker scored 23 goals in Ligue 1 last season. West Ham are known to have bid in the region of £30m+ for the player already – but this bid has reportedly been turned down.

When asked about the striker by French broadcaster Canal+, Wenger gave very little away.

“I neither confirm or deny interest, if I say that I like the player it starts speculation,” he said.

Club president Jean Michel Aulas said last month: “In order to make a sale, all three parties need to be in agreement.

“A priority, he stays. If there is an offer that we cannot refuse, he will come see me and then that is it.”

It is more than likely that Lacazette will leave Lyon this summer, so let’s hope Arsenal make a solid move on the 24-year-old.
