Wenger Not Interested In Zigic, Welbeck And Falcao!

Arsene Wenger has today confirmed that striker Olivier Giroud, who scored a 90th minute equaliser against Everton last weekend, has injured his ankle and will be out until December. Although Wenger can call upon Alexis Sanchez, Yaya Sanogo and even Theo Walcott to play as a centre-forward, he reportedly wants to bring in a new orthodox striker.

The Gunners have been linked with surprise moves for 33-year-old free agent Zigic, Monaco striker Falcao and even Manchester United forward Welbeck. However, Wenger has denied making an approach for any of the strikers and has actually mocked such names being linked to him and his team, according to London24.com.

During his press conference after Arsenal beat Besiktas 1-0 to qualify for the Champions League group stages, Wenger simply said ‘no’ when asked if he was interested in England international Welbeck. He also claimed that Falcao is out of his price range.

Arsenal were also linked with Zigic when his agent revealed that Wenger helds talks with him over a possible move for his client, but Wenger simply questioned ‘who?’ when asked about a potential move for Zigic.
