Wenger Assesses Options Ahead Of London Derby!

The form, or lack thereof, of Mesut Ozil has been a cause for concern for Arsene Wenger with the German superstar struggling in a wide role for Arsenal. He has performed better centrally and Wenger says he is tempted to play him more often in that role, according to Daily Mail.

He said, “He [Ozil] played very well and had a good understanding with Danny Welbeck. It was a good partnership because they gave each other balls to score. It was an interesting experience. It is tempting to keep Ozil in that central role but I maintain again that he will play where he is needed for the balance of the team and that can change game by game.”

The 64-year-old also gave an update on Per Mertesacker’s availability for the game and it provides good reading to Arsenal fans. He said, “Per Mertesacker is available for the weekend. I don’t think there will be a problem with him.” He also said that both Mathieu Flamini and Kieran Gibbs are in contention to feature against Spurs.

Do you think Arsenal can continue their dominance over Spurs this weekend?
