Tony Adams Unhappy With Wilshere’s Behavior

Arsenal legend Tony Adams, who made 669 appearances for the Gunners, knows a thing or two about what being a leader means. According to the Daily Mail, the former captain who saw Wilshere as the perfect player to take the lead both on the pitch and in the locker room, is not satisfied with how the club and the midfielder are managing the situation. Despite being young, Wilshere has all the necessary strengths to take Arsenal to the top. Unfortunately, his choices are not the best when it comes to his career. Despite being a team regular, he often seems to lack in determination. Apparently, Adams hinted that the club should have managed the young midfielder a whole lot better and that transferring Ozil was not a great idea.

Adams went even further and told the press that Wilshere should be offended by the fact that Wenger decided to bring in a player who is playing in a similar position to that of the English international. Arsenal already had the talent and should have focused solely on helping the 22 year old become a better player.

To be fair, Wilshere has not been himself lately. Even though he put in some pretty decent efforts during last season, he failed to keep up with players like Ramsey who simply exploded. According to Adams, failing to reach his full potential is the result of lacking in professionalism which has been a problem with Wilshere who was caught smoking twice this year during his free time.
