Thierry Henry Thinking About Arsenal Future

Wenger’s ups and downs have led to a lot of rumors pointing towards a possible rupture between the Frenchman and the club. Even if he managed to finally end the trophy drought and snatched two trophies last year, important football figures have talked about a possible change in managers. Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is one of the names which looks closest to taking the lead from Wenger. According to the Daily Express though, the former Gunner admits to being ages away from actually taking his mentor’s place. Once one of the World’s most impressive players, Henry is currently involved in different TV projects and has taken on the task of working with Arsenal’s youngsters.

Henry who left the Emirates as Arsenal’s all-time top scorer is still learning after just retiring last summer. He informed the press that he is preparing for the future and that he will become a manager if the opportunity presents itself. The Frenchman is very influential especially in London where many say teens push themselves harder in practice just to impress the Arsenal legend.

The 37 year old considers apprenticeship as a mandatory phase in the development of any manager. Just as on the pitch, Henry does not look to shy away from starting from scratch. It would not be a strange sight to see him next to Wenger just as Giggs ended up next to Ferguson and Van Gaal. It would be a perfect sequel to see Henry take charge from Wenger when Arsenal’s current manager decides to retire.
