The Wenger Era Might Be Coming To An End

The Gunners could have to look for a different manager at the end of the season. According to the Daily Express Carlo Ancelotti is on top of the list especially after his recent declarations. The Italian manager who has had the chance to work with Chelsea in the past, is set to end his contract with Real in the summer of 2016. If Wenger decides to give in to Monaco’s massive £28million deal, Arsenal could have a new coach.

After declaring that leaving Madrid will either mean that he will give up football or return to the Premier League, rumors that Ancelotti might reach an agreement with Arsenal became even more credible. There were no statements on Wenger’s side. The Frenchman is known for being very discrete when it comes to the work he does and the way he does it.

Currently Wenger is under contract with Arsenal until May 2017. After intense negotiations, the Frenchman decided to sign a new deal this year. Even though there were rumors which said that he will be leaving this summer as well, it all turned out to be just speculation. After 17 years spent managing the Gunners, it is hard to believe that he will leave to Monaco despite the huge paycheck. Wenger is believed to be the main man behind all club related issues. Him leaving, will be similar to Ferguson’s departure from Manchester. It is very unlikely that the club owners will make the mistake of letting Wenger go.
