Tension Rises At The Emirates

There is some serious strain at the Emirates since Arsenal seem to have trouble reaching their full potential. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is the second player to point fingers indirectly after the Gunners lost two important points against Anderlecht. Sanchez was the first who voiced his disappointment with the way his teammates dedicated themselves to their game. According to Metro though, the situation at the club is far from being calm and relaxed. After losing a 3 goal lead to Anderlecht, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain pointed out the fact that the lack of concentration and determination are the main factors which prevent Arsenal from winning important matches.

To be fair, concentration may not be the only thing affecting the Gunners. The thin squad and the constant injuries and replacements have had a negative impact on the way the entire team performs. Hopefully, the winter transfer window will fix that. Wenger seems to have a shopping list which could fill in the gaps and solve most of Arsenal’s problems. Until then, the French manager will have to try and spread some of the determination seen in Sanchez to the other players who look tired and very poorly focussed. The Chilean on the other hand is having an amazing season and is looking better with each match.
