Szczesny Advised To Leave Emirates

David Ospina’s transfer turned out to be bad news for Szczesny who has been unable to keep up with Arsenal’s newly arrived keeper. Unfortunately it seems that the lack of competition over the years has put the Polish international in a tough situation. Having his spot challenged did the exact opposite of getting the best out of him. According to the Daily Mail, Szczesny was even advised to leave the Emirates in order to keep his career afloat.  The advice came from former Polish legend, Jan Tomaszewski who insists his fellow compatriot needs to find a different team if he wants to stay in top shape. To be fair, there is still hope for Arsenal’s former number one to take Ospina’s place before the end of the season. However, after his poor performances and the recent incidents, it is not guaranteed that the Polish keeper will be offered another chance by Wenger this season.

Tomaszewski looked concerned with Szczesny’s situation especially considering he is the number one for Poland’s national team. If Arsenal’s keeper is set aside, Poland have little to no alternatives when it comes to replacing him. With that in mind, Wenger should be expecting a transfer request or at least a loan request as suggested by the man who stopped England, as he is known by most who saw England’s game against Poland back in 1973. Arsenal have been looking for a new goalkeeper for a while now and have been linked to several names like Casillas who could probably replace Szczesny permanently.
