Southampton Slap £27 Million Price Tag On Arsenal Target

According to The Guardian, Arsenal have an interest in the French midfielder – Morgan Schneiderlin, as Arsene Wenger is on the lookout for a new defensive enforcer, having almost completed his summer transfer activity with the signing of a goalkeeper in the form of Nice’s David Ospina. Naturally, Tottenham are also linked with the classy midfielder with old boss Mauricio Pochettino keen on raiding his old club for Schneiderlin.

However, after losing three of their most influential players in the form of Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw, the Saints will do all they can do keep hold of other key performers. The English club have already warned off rival clubs by slapping a hefty £27 million price tag on his shoulders.

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman will reportedly meet the 24-year-old on Monday and stress his importance to the club. They have already received more than £50 million from the summer sales and are in no financial need to sell more players especially with Dejan Lovren almost supposedly on his way out the door to Liverpool.
