Serge Aurier Closer To Emirates Than Ever

Serge Aurier Closer To Emirates Than Ever

Even though the season is not yet over, Arsenal have started talks for Serge Aurier who looks like the perfect replacement for Sagna. The 31 year old Frenchman has had several failed attempts to sing a new Deal with Arsenal who don’t give in easy when it comes to increasing the salary of a player which is over 30. Sagna is also a bit of a wildcard not because of his performances but mostly because of his fragile physique. He has had several complicated injuries over the years which can be back at any time. Despite his excellent season, the French international might get replaced by one of Europe’s most promising young players.

According to Metro, Aurier is not targeted only by Arsenal. City, Juventus and Milan are also interested in securing the 21 year olds’ signature. The Ivorian would make a great addition to Wenger’s team. He started his professional career back in 2009 and made over 100 appearances since then for both Lens and Toulouse.

Unfortunately for Arsenal, PSG also seem interested in signing Aurier. The French side’s financial power and the fact that the right-back grew near Paris might make things difficult for the Gunners. Even so, it appears Wenger has already set things up for the transfer period. Rumors have it he has already met with Aurier’s representative twice this year. All that is left now is for Arsenal to come to terms with Toulouse who value their player at about £10million. Even though it may sound a lot for a 21 year old, the Ivorian is definitely a long term investment which will pay off big time.
