Sanogo Confident He Will Start Scoring For Arsenal

Yaya Sanogo has failed to impress the fans despite being given several chances to prove himself. Currently fighting with Welbeck for a spot in Wenger’s starting line-up, the young Frenchman has yet to score goals for Arsenal. According to Metro, he is confident that his dry spell will end once he finds the net once. The youngster gained the needed confidence to score after managing to find the net twice for the France U21 team. He is now hoping to continue his excellent performances at the Emirates as well. The competition is tough though with Welbeck being more determined than ever to prove he is worth the money and also to prove that Manchester were wrong to let him go.

Sanogo’s statements regarding his current situation were pretty sincere and sounded pretty plausible. He asked fans to be patient considering the fact that he just moved from facing Ligue 2 adversaries to facing defenders like Kompany who is not easily beaten even by the world’s top strikers.

The 21 year old will have even more chances to prove he is worthy of a place on Wenger’s team. With Giroud out for the next couple of months, he will have to play substitute for Welbeck who is expected to become Arsenal’s number one choice up front. Hopefully he will break his scoring duck in order to challenge Danny Welbeck just enough so as to encourage him to up his game as well.
