Ray Parlour Backs Henry To Be Successful Manager

Thierry Henry, who scored 175 league goals for Arsenal, called time on his distinguished career and announced his retirement from professional football on Tuesday. After being linked with a return to Arsenal in some sort of capacity, the World Cup winner has instead chosen to join the Sky Sports team as a pundit.

He will join former Premier League defenders Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher in the Sky Sports studio from the New Year. His former team mate Parlour has backed him to be successful in his new role, and also believes that he can go on to become a top-class manager.

According to Sky Sports, Parlour said, “We could spend all morning talking about his record, his performances, his accolades – he was outstanding. It was a pleasure to play with him. He was a true gentleman and in the dressing room he was great to have around. He had lots of knowledge, that’s why he’s such a great signing for Sky.”

“He is very intelligent and knows so much about the game. If he wants to, there is no reason why he can’t become a top-class manager.”

Do you think Henry can become Arsenal manager in the future?
