Podolski Looking To End Arsenal Deal As A Team Regular

It appears that Lukas Podolski is more than confident his return to the Emirates will jumpstart his career. It is strange to see the German World Cup winner publicly expressing his desire to continue with Arsenal despite his departure for the loan deal with Inter which seemed more like it would end up as a permanent change. Even with this contract with the Gunners set to expire in 2016, fans were expecting to see the winger push for a permanent move to Serie A. According to the Daily Express, Podolski looked very confident that Inter would be a new beginning for him but he has failed to acclimatise to Serie A and managed only 12 appearances for a side that did not even include him in the match day squad most of the time.

After spending just a few weeks in Italy, it was kind of clear Milano is not the place to be for Podolski. Wenger had a spot on feeling when deciding to let the German leave. Letting the forward leave makes a lot more sense now seeing how bad the 29 year is doing. He constantly complained about the fact that he is not part of the starting line-up and that he is better than the players used by Wenger. Apparently the Frenchman saw what he needed to see in training. There is little chance of actually seeing Podolski playing for the Gunners next season. The club is looking for a left sided player just as efficient and spectacular as Sanchez. If they do manage to land someone like Reus, Lavezzi or Andre Ayew it is very unlikely we will see Podolski make the team in his last season with Arsenal. To be honest even if Arsenal do not land any of the players just mentioned it seems highly unlikely Podolski will manage to become a first team regular when he returns to North London.
