Pires Shares His Opinions On Arsenal’s Future

Arsenal’s former star midfielder Robert Pires recently answered a series of questions regarding Arsenal’s future in terms of players and also management. According to the Daily Mail, the Frenchman is convinced that one way or another, Henry will return to Emirates and become a great leader off the pitch as well. Pires mentioned that this will probably happen in the distant future as Wenger is still fully capable and quite capable to take care of things for the Londoners. The other option suitable for the Gunners is Carlo Ancelotti. Even though FC Goa’s current player failed to mention why he prefers Ancelotti, he still pointed out that the managerial style implemented by the Italian would do a lot of good for Arsenal.

Pires, who is now 41, insisted that Henry should be the one to take command after Wenger steps back. He pointed out that his former colleague and captain is the person to go to when it comes to Arsenal. Henry understands the club just like Wenger does, and would probably do a great job of managing the North Londoners.


In terms of future transfers, Pires referred to Lyon’s 23 year old, Alexandre Lacazette. The rising star who has had an impressive season seems to have attracted the attention of many clubs including Arsenal. Pires believes that the center forward would be a perfect fit for the Gunners who are actually looking to bring in a new striker.
