Ozil On His Way Out Of Arsenal?

Mesut Ozil could be on his way out of Arsenal, after the midfielder was linked heavily with rivals Manchester City, who could lodge a considerable bid in the January transfer window to take the player away from the Emirates Stadium, according to Metro.

Arsenal secured another win under their belt against Sunderland, and Alexis Sanchez scored an impressive brace to add another three points into the bag. Arsene Wenger will also be pleased to see rivals City lose to West Ham United in Saturday’s early kickoff, and it gives the London based club a chance to close in on the Premier League title holders. League leaders Chelsea will face a recovering Manchester United who will be keen on putting a halt to the Jose Mourinho’s side. Chelsea are the only remaining unbeaten side in the league, and could stretch their lead at the top of the pack with a win tomorrow at Old Trafford.

Ozil has been a fan favourite since completing a record transfer from Real Madrid last season. The German international sustained a knee ligament injury in Arsenal’s fixture against Chelsea this month, and the knock could keep him out till after Christmas. The Gunners are slowly climbing up the league, but the frustration of little silverware could bare on Ozil’s mind. Personal terms will not be a problem for resourceful City, who will need to negotiate a transfer fee with Arsenal.
