Oh No, Not Again! Another Injury Nightmare

Oh No, Not Again! Another Injury Nightmare

It`s mind blowing to see the exact thing happening over and over and over again. It`s actually getting painful to see Arsenal lose at least three players every month. Every couple of weeks there is big news that a key player is out and that he will be missing not for one or two days but for 30-60 days. If you ask someone to name a player who made it without any major injuries for more than two years, you will probably get no response. It is outrageous to see players like Wilshere and Walcott who shine when they are in top shape, spend more time on the bench in two seasons than Ronaldo has spent in his entire career. Sure, the Premier League is very demanding but the problem seems to be with what happens in terms of post-match and post-injury recovery. Someone, somewhere is doing something wrong. It`s not possible to lose Coquelin to a ligament injury for two months when the lot is already too thin to handle a month full of important games.

According to the Guardian, the midfielder will probably return in February at best, and that is if things go well. The list of injuries mentioned in a previous article shows how another season might go to waste due to poor managing of delicate situations. There should be no excuse for Arsenal if they lose the title this year. They have little resistance from the Big Four, they play great football, score goals and look solid in the defense with Cech bringing that extra lair of security. Unfortunately, you cannot expect to win the Premier League by counting on players like Flamini, Chambers or Arteta who have barely set foot on the pitch during the past couple of months. You cannot also expect Campbell to be on the same level with Sanchez or Walcott when he barely managed to score his first Arsenal goal in over a dozen matches althugh he has looked rather good lately. If we are to ever solve our perpetual injury bug, hopefully, someday, fans will get to actually have the pleasure of enjoying their favorite players a whole year not just a couple of weeks every two months.
