Max Meyer Snubs Transfer Rumors Which Link Him To Arsenal And Chelsea

After missing out on Julian Draxler who will more than likely continue playing for Schalke during next season, Arsenal have directed their attention to a youngster of a similar profile. Max Meyer has been repeatedly linked to the Gunners who could use a footballer of his versatility and speed. The 18 year old who is under contract with the German side up until 2018 seems dedicated to his current club. During last season he made 35 appearances and scored 6 Bundesliga goals which is very impressive for a player of his age. According to Metro, the German international is very happy with his current situation and has no reason to leave Germany just yet. Even though Wenger has had an eye on him for quite a while now, it appears that the chances of him joining the Gunners are very slim.

In recent statements, Meyer did not seem impressed with the fact that two of the most important Premier League clubs are interested in his services. He also denied any link to both Arsenal and Chelsea who were thought to have started negotiations for the youngster. Meyer also insisted that even if things were true and an offer could come his way, there is no chance of him leaving anytime soon. To be fair, it is hard to believe he will have it better anywhere else during this particular part of his career. At Schalke he is a team regular, he scores goals and he is seen as a key player. These things would be hard to accomplish if he moves to Arsenal or for that matter Chelsea.
