Manchester United To Trigger Koscielny’s Departure

It seems that all major transfers that are about to take place this summer are in some way linked to the Premier League. One single transfer such as that of De Gea to Madrid could trigger a domino effect that will take the market by storm. According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal could be affected by the riptide produced by the rupture between Manchester United and their Spanish keeper. Rumors have it that LVG is willing to let the Spanish international leave only if Ramos comes to Old Trafford. Apparently Real could agree to such terms but might also look for a replacement that could come from the Emirates. Laurent Koscielny who is a key player for Arsenal could get the chance to play for Real Madrid if Wenger cannot convince is fellow countryman that his future is with the Gunners.

The temptation of having a sure chance to win the Champions League and an increase in salary could see Koscielny follow in the footsteps of so many before him. Currently earning just as much as Diaby used to earn, there could be reason to worry that Arsenal might lose one of their main men. With Wenger looking to reinforce the defense due to lack of options, losing the 29 year old Frenchman could negate the big plus Arsenal’s defense are getting by signing Cech. It is a bit of a stretched scenario to consider if you look at what Ramos means for Real. Recent history showed that legends are not actually that important for the Spaniards – see what happened with Raul – so anything could happen. Hopefully Arsenal will not sell key players like Koscielny this summer and will only sign new talent.
