Man United To Trump Arsenal To Reus Signing?

The 25-year-old, Marco Reus has developed into one of the world’s best attacking midfielders at Borussia Dortmund. Having seen his teammates Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski depart for Bayern Munich, many have speculated that Reus might follow suit with Bayern showing considerable interest.

However, Dortmund don’t want to lose the star midfielder and have insisted that he will not be sold. Chances of Dortmund selling another of their star players to Bayern are slim at best, and Beckenbauer believes he could be tempted to join a club like Man United over Arsenal.

According to Metro, the German legend said, “I can imagine him at Bayern very well. If you can get a player of his class, you need to try it. I am sure if he doesn’t go to Bayern in 2015, he will probably go to another big international club such as Real Madrid or Manchester United. Dortmund are unlikely to be able to hold on to him.”

Arsenal have also been linked with the German with Wenger known to be a big admirer. However, they already have plenty of firepower in Reus’ positions and they could lose out on him to Man United, who have money to burn and want to sign some marquee players.
